The Lake House

The story follows Dr. Kate Forster (Bullock) in 2006 and a frustrated architect, Alex Wyler (Reeves), in 2004. When Kate leaves a letter in the mailbox of her unusual lakeside home, it is discovered by Alex. They soon realize the mailbox acts as a magical timeline portal connecting them exactly two years apart. As they exchange intimate correspondence and fall deeply in love, they attempt to unravel the mystery of their temporal divide and find a way to meet in person without altering the fabric of time.
